                Weekend trip to Litton Cheney Youth Hostel in
                Dorset, reserved by sole use by COPSE. Close to
                Chesil Beach in an area of outstanding natural
                beauty.

Sat 12     Ridgeway Long Distance Path
                40 mile walk (for those with the stamina)

Sun 13     Early morning bike ride (Barry)
                Meet East Croydon Station 6.45 am and enjoy
                cycling the empty streets of London.

Sun 20     New Members Ramble 4-5 miles & Cycle Ride (Ireen/Andrew)
                A short walk or cycle to meet some of the club
                members and experience how we enjoy our local
                Surrey countryside, taking in a visit to Priory
                Farm, South Nutfield, for refreshments/lunch. With
                the option to extend the day, with a stop at a pub
                for further refreshments, on the way back. For
                both the ramble and the cycle ride meet at East
                Croydon Train Station (ticket hall) at 10.40am.
                The walkers will be taking a train to Earlswood
                (returning from Redhill later), and plan to
                rendezvous with the cyclists at Priory Farm. More

                around £10.

                Visit Arundel Youth Hostel in West Sussex for the
                last time before it closes in July. Camping
                available. Local sight seeing, walks, beaches and
                "Right Royal Tea Party".

                Jubilee weekend trip to North Devon

Sun   3     Visit to London (Ireen)
                Trip to see afternoon Diamond Jubilee Boat Pageant
                along the Thames.

Sun 10     Sunday Walk (Olga)
                7 mile walk from Ashdown Forest, meet East Croydon
                Station 9.40

Sat 16     Diamond Jubilee Concert (Andrew)
                Concert of chamber choir and orchestra to mark the
                Diamond Jubilee. 7.30 pm

Sun 17     Visit to Squerry's Court, Westerham (Linda)
                House and garden visit with possible wine tasting,
                followed by cream tea.

Sat 23     Saturday Walk (Margaret)
                10 mile walk aroung Leith Hill area, Surrey. Meet
                West Croydon Station (time to be confirmed).

Sun 24     Cycle ride (William C)

Sat 30  – Sun 1    Local camping trip (Linda)
                Enjoy a long, magical summer evening in the
                outdoors.

July

Fri 27  – Mon 30    Tanners Olympiad (Ron S)
                Stay at the unique country YHA hostel Tanners
                Hatch, ready to view the Olympic Road Race (down
                the road at Box Hill, Surrey) enjoy the
                camaraderie, plus walking and cycling in the
                lovely rural setting of this old quaint cottage.
