DESCRIPTION:After our excellent fun in January\, at the High Commission for India in London\, we now have part 2 coming up this week\, where Mr Raja\, the organiser of the Pongal festival\, is coming to tell us more about Tamil culture. \nThis all came about through the “Croydon Tamil Sangam”\, who organised this year’s event in London. We should get on the guest invite list for ongoing Croydon Tamil fun. \nThe “London Tamil Sangam” was established 1936\, close but just younger than Copse. Over the years\, in my work in India\, I have learned more about Tamil Culture\, which is not so well known outside of the Indian Community\, but in fact very much alive and well in good old Croydon\, home of the COPSE. \nExpect that we will get some combination of music\, dancing\, costume\, stories and more in the hall.

DESCRIPTION:It involves mild stretching exercises- we are toning it down so everyone can participate.\n\nProbably best not to eat up to an hour before.\n\nThe idea is to do 15 minute standing warm-ups the standing stretching. Then a bit of chair exercises and hopefully we would be warm enough to do a 15 minute mediation segment.

DESCRIPTION:Pancakes to make and eat on Tuesday! \n  \nThere is no plan for the Club to provide materials this year so please bring along any of your own equipment\, if you can: fry-pans\, spatulas etc.\, batter mix and ingredients for fillings.  Hopefully\, there will be sufficient to share.   \n  \nAlso\, do remember that in recent years we have had the challenge of creating unusual fillings.
