It’s a Games evening focused on the only thing some of us are still capable of doing . . . \nReminiscing\nBring along nothing but your memories of jumpers for goalposts\, rationing\, manning the trenches\, sharing chewing gum\, bathing once a week in coal dust and – the ultimate deprivation – only one TV channel. DESCRIPTION:These folk will be demonstrating and explaining some of the traditional rural dances that have stepped their way to Surrey from East Anglia. \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nPreviously\, our hall has resounded to the crashing of sticks from one of Croydon’s local Morris sides and the flourishing of garlands by women cloggers.  (Sorry\, Tim\, stick bashing not expected this week as we’ll be enjoying a different style\, although broomsticks might be involved!)  Some further info in the poster below. \nFor those inclined and encouraged\, there should be the chance to “have a go” – but no pressure to do so!   Please come along early so the spectacle can start at 8.30 pm. \n \n
