SUMMARY:Stanley Halls Ceilidh - a Chance to Dance!
DESCRIPTION:A good number of COPSErs regularly enjoyed these monthly sessions\, prior to lockdown.  If you look carefully at the photo below\, you may spot a couple of our Members enjoying themselves. \nTake your feet for a treat – my term for these traditional dances is “exercise with a smile on your face”! \n \nPrices:  We can gain a good price of £9 per person\, if we pre-book at least ten tickets.  (Normal advance adult tickets are £12\, on-the-door £15.)  Please come back to me\, as soon as possible\, if you’re able to join us on Friday.  I shall pay for the group’s tickets and you can settle with me on the evening.  (Obviously\, you need to be definite about coming to be included in this discounted price.) \nIf you have not been to a ceilidh/barn dance before\, do not fear; all the sequences of movements are explained by a “caller” and we usually have a very good time. \nThe Halls have a bar.  Parking is free in the area.  Public transport options are: \nBuses: Routes 196 and 410 stop directly outside of Stanley Arts. \nRoutes 75\, 157\, 197 and 312 stop within a few minutes’ walk. \nTrains: Stanley Arts is just a five minute walk from Norwood Junction station. \nDo come back to me with any queries. \nIreen Best 07968 035522 \n\nIn Stanley Arts’ own words: \nCome one\, come all for a night of dancing and merriment just like the good old days! \nBack in November 2019\, when no one knew the word “Covid”\, The Conquering Heroes played a ceilidh (traditional dance) at Stanley Halls and an amazing time was had by all.
