DESCRIPTION:This is a repeat of the same walk (+ sometimes bus rides) that I led  a couple of years ago covering the first 40 years of my “previous north london life” before  moving across the river thames to the Croydon area in 1990 where the plan is follows =>\n\nfrom 10am meet at EC stn\n=>10.15am train (appprox) to LB stn\n=> northern line train to east finchley stn where we’ll have a coffrer/loo stop in the cafe opposite where my walk will start about 11.30am.\n\nwithout giving too much away\, there will be numerous “music   \nlinks”\, a wetherspoons pub lunch\,\nnorth london suburbs + famous music venues    to end up in one of\nthe many pubs in camden town about 5pm.\n\nif you have any queries\, please let me know.\n\nKeith S\nmobile/text = 07749 515486\n(which is always switched on)

DESCRIPTION:Hello all\, \nThere are still places available for the Cambridge weekend.  This will be a mainly historic town visit\, but there are many parks and the River Cam path alternatives for further walks. \nWe may get a guided walking tour of the colleges. \nThe hostel is well appointed with a cafe/bar serving breakfast and evening meals {although we may have the Saturday evening meal out) .  There is also a members kitchen if you want to self cater.  Bedding is provided but not towels\, in 4 bed or 6 bed rooms. (exclusive to our group) \nPlease bring I D . The hostel fee will be about £40 for the 2 nights\, exact amount depends on the size of the group. \n  \nGetting there  \nOnly 5 minutes walk from Cambridge station (not Cambridge South or Cambridge North) and 15 minutes from the town centre. \nCambridge is easily accessible from E. Croydon direct by Thameslink trains every half hour taking 1 hour 40 minutes. \nRail fares:-  £53.20   full price return. \n£35.40   with a railcard. \n£40.20   with a freedom pass. \n£26.70   with a railcard and a freedom pass. \n  \nI am proposing that we get the 10.31 from E. Croydon on Friday 13th\, but no access to the hostel until 15.00. \n  \nReturn on Sunday mid afternoon\, or whatever suits you. \nBarry
