It’s an approx 20 minute bus ride. From Warlingham Green we walk around three quarters of a mile to the pub. This will entail firm tracks\, pavements and crossing a field. We may well therefore be walking over wet grass or wet bare ground. So wear suitable footwear. \nIt will likely be getting dark when we set off back for Croydon. We can avoid the field by walking on lanes. A torch would be useful. \n

DESCRIPTION:An evening of music at the Union Chapel\, an architectural treasure that’s home to a working church\, an award winning venue\, a unique organ and The Margins Project for those homeless and in crisis in London \nFairport Convention has been making great music for over fifty years. Credited with originating British folk-rock music\, the band has been through many changes but the current members retain a passion for live performance.\nThis year’s Winter Tour will feature a mix of long-established Fairport favourites and new material from their most recent studio album 50:50@50 celebrating their Golden anniversary. The concerts will also feature an opening performance by the wonderful singer / songwriter duo Winter Wilson\, who have become favourites on the folk scene in the UK and as far away as Australia.  \n18:30pm – Doors\, Bar and Margins Cafe serving hot homemade food open \n19:30pm – Winter Wilson \n20:00pm – Fairport Convention \n22:30pm – Curfew \n\nChapel Union Bar open after the show.
