DESCRIPTION:Outing: Folk Night at the Cryer Arts Theatre\, + preceded by Wandle Walk\n\nTuesday 11th October @ 3:30 pm to 11:00 pm\n£5 \n\n\n\n  \nThis is another chance to join the very successful outing we had on 12th April\, details here. \nKeith said then\, more or or less: \n1) As you know\, I’m arranging an outdoor COPSE visit to the Cryer Arts Studio In Carshalton High Street on Tuesday11th October for their regular “folk night” (2nd Tuesday of each month) which starts at 7.30pm.\nI’ve been going there for a few months now and have been impressed by not only the “proper” stage\, tables in front (which can be removed for folk/barn dancing)\, the staggered rear seating\, the welcoming bar (open from 4pm + serving a variety of beers\, wines + hot food. \n2) Also\, I’m intending to lead a short three mile walk from Wandle Park tram stop about 3.30pm to Carshalton Ponds(via the River Wandle\, Beddington Park + The Grove) aiming to get to the venue by about 5.30pm for a meal + drinks. \nFeel free to join us for the walk\, the folk night or both.\nPlease book your tickets\, individually or in groups\, at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on?q=cryer-folk.\nAlternatively\, take a chance and turn up on the day.

DESCRIPTION:The Gatliff Marathon is an annual challenge walk\, jog or run of 25 or 50km mostly on footpaths and tracks in the Kent and Surrey countryside.\nThe challenge is to complete the event in under 10 hours\, following the route directions and checking in at each of the checkpoints.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Edenbridge Rugby Club Pavilion\, Coomb Field\, Edenbridge\, Kent\, TN8 5HL. G.R 441 459 (NB. Parking only as shown below) \nDate: Sunday\, 16 October 2022 \nOpening Time: 6:30am \nStart Times: Between 7:00am and 10:30am depending on distance and whether walking or running \nParking options: There is free parking at the Recreation Ground Car Park (this is NOT the main Rugby Club car park\, but is accessed via the next turning to the west off Lingfield Road)\, and at  Edenbridge Town Railway Station. Other alternatives are Leathermarket Car Park\, Market Yard Car Park (the main town centre car park) and Edenbridge High Street. Please do not park in the residential streets near the Rugby Club and also at the Rugby Club Pavilion itself. This Google Maps link shows the Rugby Club and Edenbridge Town Train Station. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEntering\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEntry fees in advance: £14 for the 50km route and £12 for the 25km route. There is an additional charge of £3.00 for entering on the day. All food and drink provided by the Gatliff Marathon organisers is included in the entry fees. \nHow to enter: To enter in advance\, fill out an online entry form and pay immediately by debit/credit card or post a cheque; alternatively download an entry form and post this with a cheque.  You can also enter on the day paying by cash (£3 extra). Online entry closes 8pm 14 October 2022.
