We will be in touch with you and all other current entrants to offer you the opportunity to carry over your entry to the 22nd August 2021 marathon or to offer a full refund if preferred. We thank you for entering and very much hope you can join us in August.
To run the event successfully and safely at its usual time of year requires some key indoor checkpoints and numerous marshals and other volunteers. To comply with government advice and in the expectation of continued restrictions for the foreseeable future to combat the coronavirus pandemic, we have concluded that the safety of our entrants, host venues and volunteers comes first.
Planning the event in the warmer months means we can run it with minimal indoor checkpoints. It is unclear how long restrictions on indoor activities for large groups will continue. This gives us the option of running the event entirely outdoors. It also means less time to wait to enjoy the next event. It is also a time of year when the main checkpoint – the Edenbridge Rugby Club pavilion is relatively quiet, making the event a whole lot easier to run.
