A hostel weekend away in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park. We will be staying at the Glenorchy Centre, a Grade II Listed building located in a conservation area in Wirksworth.

Wirksworth is an historic market town with access to spectacular countryside. The Cromford & High Peak trail, Arkwright Mills and the Cromford canal are not far away. The town is well supplied with shops selling anything from clothes to locally-produced food, fair-trade presents to books, and antiques to old-fashioned sweets.

We have booked the whole hostel, and with 26 beds, there is plenty of room. It has all the usual facilities, including bed linen.

Public transport is by E. Midlands trains, from St. Pancras to Derby and then by bus to Wirksworth.

The accommodation will cost will arond £35.00 if we get about 20 people and catering would be about £10-£12 payable on the day.
