Cycling in Northern France

Explore Dieppe, Rouen and La Manche by bike over the August Bank Holiday. Cycle around 30 miles per day.
Details:
Friday 26 August 2016 – depart Croydon by train around 21:00; catch 23:00 ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe. Arrive Dieppe 05:00 local time. £35 return (no cabin, catch some shut eye in lounge / bar / lobby seating areas or extra £75 for berth in cabin; crossing is 5 hours).
Saturday 27 August – catch a light breakfast / coffee before leaving ferry; cycle to a town to find breakfast; cycle in all around 30 miles, back in time for a mid afternoon siesta; evening – meal out
Sunday 28 August – cycle around 30 miles hopefully visit Rouen for its great cathedral during the weekend.
Monday 29 August – cycle 20 to 30 miles, take in channel coast (La Manche) for a swim; catch 18:00 ferry from Dieppe to Newhaven; (crossing is 4 hours) arrive Newhaven 21:00 UK time, catch train back to Croydon.
‘Avenue Verte’ – this is the continuation of ‘route 21’ in England (Greenwich(?) to Newhaven), and links London with Paris via a mainly off road cycle route. We may do part of this.
