This bank holiday Monday we are heading to Hastings in East Sussex, and the day will include a stroll out towards Fairlight country park.

Direct trains are running from East Croydon to Hastings via Tonbridge so sit back and enjoy the tour of the Weald by train, direct from Croydon. Full return cheap day fare is £30 but we may be able to get a third off if there are enough railcards to share.

So, turn up at East Croydon station at 9.55am to catch the 10.12 to Hastings. We return late afternoon / early evening. The train journey is around an hour and a half each way. The walk east along the coast towards Fairlight country park is optional and around four to five miles round trip.   There may be an option to take the bus out and walk back. Sight seeing and lounging about the rest of the time.
