Hi everyone

I will be leading the FINAL Croydon Green Spaces Walk on Sunday 6th September.

This will be covering the green spaces we have not previously visited in Purley, Kenley and Coulsdon.

It seems very urban but its a surprisingly “green” route and many of the places I had never visited before.

Meet outside Tesco’s bus stop in Godstone Road (opposite the Jolly Farmers pub) at 10.30am.

From here we will be walking down the Godstone Road and turn up Foxley Hill Road and into Foxley Woods and a footpath that takes us up to the Wattenden pub for our lunch stop. We then walk to Old Coulsdon and through woods and across Coulsdon Manor Golf course and via Coulsdon Woods to end our walk in Coulsdon town centre where there is a pub and cafes.

Its about 7 miles in total so not a long walk and we can stop for ice creams at Grange Park in Old Coulsdon, and at the Manor at the golf course for toilets and refreshments along the way and I aim to get to Coulsdon town between 4.30 to 5pm.

There are plenty of buses and trains from Coulsdon at the end of the route.

Decent footwear such as good walking shoes or boots if its been wet and likely muddy as we go along some steep tracks.

Bring water if it is a hot day.

Food and drinks are available at the pub and shops at Old Coulsdon.
