Hastings to Fairlight and back
Saturday 2nd May @ 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Hello copsers
Update
A fair number of you joined me on a walk from Hastings to Winchelsea last June. The first half was very scenic, the second half a bit dull.
So this time the plan is to walk from Hastings Railway Station to the Cliff Railway, stopping for seafood if desired. We will ascend the Cliff Railway then walk along the coast path to Hastings Country Park, diverting to the Dripping Well. We will then stop for lunch at the Fairlight Visitor Centre, about 4 hilly miles. Buses run hourly from Fairlight back to Hastings.
After lunch we will return to Hastings via the “high road” and back down the Cliff Railway where we can finish up with fish and chips or pop in to the Wetherspoons (or both!) on the way to the railway station.
If the weather forecast a few days before is bad but a lot better on either the Sunday or Monday, then I may change the date. I will decide by the Thursday evening before, so check your e-mails.
How long is the walk
About 8 miles and hilly in parts.
How to get there
Train from East Croydon to Hastings departing at 09.10 am and arriving at 10.58. The train fare with a railcard is £26.15 return

I will be leading a walk from Hastings Railway Station through Hastings Country Park to Fairlight Visitor Centre and back to Hastings via the “high road” on Saturday 2nd of May. It is about 8 miles long, but hilly.
From Croydon you can catch a train to Hastings at 9.10 am, arriving at 10.58.
The train fare with a railcard is £26.15 return, though I expect Andy will tell you to get split fares to save money – please advise!
Cheers
