Associates Weekend at Thurlby Hostel

Friday 10th February 2017 to Sunday 12th February 2017

YHA Thurlby is a 15th century former village forge with a lovely lawned garden and orchard. It is located in a peaceful spot in the centre of an unspoilt Lincolnshire village. The homely former forge is full of character and has both Victorian and Georgian additions to the building – perfect for history buffs!

The Fens are natural cycling country and Rutland Water, an important area for bird life, offers a great choice of watersports and walks – perfect for activity breaks and walking and cycling holidays. Visit Belvoir Castle, Burghley House and nearby market towns for a day out exploring.

We have the whole hostel to ourselves and Alan will be doing the catering as usual. If we have a full house (20 beds) it will cost around £25 each for the weekend plus around £10 for food.

Peterborough is easily reached by train from London. Then from Queensgate bus station (opposite railway station) Delaine bus route 101 departs on the hour and half hour to Thurlby (the Horseshoe) taking 45 mins. On Sunday it returns to Peterborough at 08 mins past each hour from Thurlby.
