Continuing to be inspired by Paul’s assault on the Loop, and encouraged by the enthusiastic turnout for Parts 1 and 2, I’m continuing the Capital Ring circuit. Click on the map for full details of what the Capital Ring is.

This leg is about 8 miles and includes parts of Beckenham Place Park and a meetup with some fellow dinosaurs at Crystal Palace Park.

There are plenty of feeding and toilet opportunities along the way, and a good lunch option at the Homestead Cafe in Beckenham Place.

We finish at Crystal Palace Station, which has rail links to West Croydon (direct) and East Croydon (via Norwood Junction) as well as lots of buses.

Joining Opportunities

Due to track works etc the usual rail route to Grove Park via London Bridge would take over 1½ hours and involve a Rail Replacement Bus 😱. So we’ll catch the SuperLoop 5 to Bromley and the 261 to Grove Park.
