For those interested in my “three part” COPSE walk next sunday (27th), this

is the plan =>

Meet at the 468 bus stop “KD” from 10.15am  outside the “former” Nestle building => 10.30am bus (approx) to

West Norwood high street (takes about 30 minutes) where we’ll then have a coffee/loo stop in West Norwood’s library + “picture house” cinema.

This leisurely four mike walk will then start outside West Norwood cemetery’s main entrance at 11.30am to find some of it’s many famous graves (including “a sugar magnate + philanthropist”,

a “domestic goddess” + many more), Dulwich village + Crystal Palace park (including the recently refurbished “dinosaurs ” .)

We’ll leave by the bottom Penge gate  + then go to either Penge East Station , Penge West Station or buses to Croydon but there’s an option afterwards to go to “the Bridge House” pub which

is right next to Penge West Station for drinks + possibly a  meal but being a Sunday afternoon, it could be busy, so we’ll just hope there’s some indoor seats left or go into the garden.

(Alternative travel via train (East Croydon at 14mins  and 44 mins past the hour to West Norwood, change at Crystal Palace).  Journey takes approx 19 mins.

You can also travel from West Croydon train station to West Norwood changing at Balham. Journey takes approx 36 mins.)
