Illustrated talk: “The meaning of China – the impact of its rise on the rest of the world”

Talk: Tamil Culture

After our excellent fun in January, at the High Commission for India in London, we now have part 2 coming up this week, where Mr Raja, the organiser of the Pongal festival, is coming to tell us more about Tamil culture. This all came about through the "Croydon Tamil Sangam", who organised this year's event

Body Balance

It involves mild stretching exercises- we are toning it down so everyone can participate. Probably best not to eat up to an hour before. The idea is to do 15 minute standing warm-ups the standing stretching. Then a bit of chair exercises and hopefully we would be warm enough to do a 15 minute mediation

Shrove Tuesday

Pancakes to make and eat on Tuesday!   There is no plan for the Club to provide materials this year so please bring along any of your own equipment, if you can: fry-pans, spatulas etc., batter mix and ingredients for fillings.  Hopefully, there will be sufficient to share.    Also, do remember that in recent years we
