1 hour Medway river cruise and museum

Hello Everyone,
I am organising a 1 hour Medway river cruise on Sat 3rd October 2026. The cost is £10 per person and we pay at a booth by the river on the day, shortly before we board the boat. It is not possible to buy tickets in advance. We will have some time to visit the Maidstone museum afterwards for those who are not in a rush to return to Croydon. Entry is free.
The itinerary is below:
- Meet outside East Croydon station near the Costa at 10 am
- Train leaves for Maidstone East at 10.28 am. We have to change at London Bridge.
- Arrive at Maidstone 12 noon and walk down to the river which will take only 10 minutes. I will point out some interesting points of local history and curiosities on the way.
- Buy our ticket and board the boat for the 1 hour river cruise. We will aim for the 1pm cruise (the boat leaves on the hour, every hour)
- After the cruise we can visit the free museum for an hour or two which, conveniently is on the way back to the station.
There are pubs and restaurants around the station area including two Wetherspoons so if anyone wants a drink or even a quick meal before our return, that is possible.
