Trip to the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. The programme comprises works by Webern, Mahler and Wagner and is given by the Philharmonia Orchestra. It starts at 7.30pm. As usual our tickets are at the back of the upper circle and cost £15. First come first served. I have 15 tickets available.

To mark the RAF's centenary this year, the two-day Festival of Flight (18-19th August) will see 12 Spitfires scrambled, re-enacting the Hardest Day. Biggin Hill's Heritage Hangar, with the world's largest gathering of flyable Spitfires, will provide the focal point of the salute.
There's plenty of things to do including walking along the river Arun, Arundel castle, cathedral, wetlands, dragonboat racing along the river, an outdoor lido, tea shops, outdoor cafes + plenty of good pubs.
Travel by ferry to Northern Europe with your bike for the weekend. Dover to Dunkirk Saturday morning (train to Dover), cycle into Belgium. A free mini festival of kite flying and spectacular displays organised by Friends of Streatham Common. Watch the pros and bring your own kites down to have a fly. There is also food and drink stands, a bouncy castle and stalls run by local community groups.
Enjoy a leisurely cycle ride of approximately 30 miles. Each year the route varies around the lanes of Surrey, Kent or Sussex.
